Gifts of the Enneagram
9 Essential Pathways to Becoming the Best You
A Retreat Led by Brad Pickel
Friday (Evening), December 7 and Saturday, December 8, 2018
Sponsored by First Christian Church & Illuman of Louisiana
We welcome all men, women and couples to this retreat without regard to ethnicity, class, education, sexual orientation, religion or any other excluding characteristic.
Whether you are new to the Enneagram or have been a long-time student, we are offering a one-day retreat to explore the gifts of the Enneagram through the use of teachings, music, small group councils and question and response.
Our retreat will cover topics beyond simple typing through invitations to find all nine types within you. Starting from the positive aspects of each type, the participants will be led through a journey of how each type becomes disconnected from their inherent goodness and stay disconnected by doing more and more of what works less and less. As we delve deeper on this journey, the participants will then be led back to the place of original goodness and connection…
FRIDAY NIGHT (12/7)
The retreat has two parts, an optional Friday evening event in which we will be showing brief movie clips highlighting each type to show them in action. This session will be offered on a donation basis and has been thoroughly enjoyed by previous retreat participants.
In this fun and interactive retreat, we will go beyond simple typing as we explore deeply the nine types of the Enneagram and their related strengths, motivations and styles of relating. By the end of our retreat participants will have a much greater appreciation for the wholeness of the Enneagram and a better understanding of how they manifest each type within their own personality.

RETREAT LEADERSHIP PROVIDED BY
Brad Pickel is the President and Owner of Seahaven Consulting, Inc. located in Beaufort, South Carolina and serves as the Administrator for Illuman, an international, male spirituality organization established from the work of Fr. Richard Rohr. Brad has been studying the Enneagram for over a decade and is a passionate communicator of its wisdom in both group settings and in one-on-one coaching sessions. He employs teachings, music and movies, small group sharing, and rituals to transmit his knowledge of the system. Since initially being introduced to the Enneagram through Fr. Richard Rohr's teachings, he pursued training through the Enneagram Institute, led by Don Riso and Russ Hudson, two of the most respected teachers and prolific writers on the Enneagram. He has completed the Enneagram Institute training program and attended additional workshops focusing on the Essential Qualities and Higher Aspects of each type that highlights the spiritual components of the Enneagram. In addition, he has searched out teachings from other Enneagram teachers to further investigate what lies beneath the question of “what number are you?”
While finding value in the Enneagram as a personality typing system, Brad's interest is in the deeper knowledge offered through understanding the Levels of Development of each type, the interplay between instinctual drives and Enneagram type, the relationship dynamics between types, and the spiritual gifts and exercises of each type highlighted by this unique tool.
